Starbucks Holds its Ground in China Despite Luckin Coffee’s Rise – Barron’s

The major competitor to Starbucks in China, Luckin Coffee (ticker: LK), has been moving up and up, but a Jefferies analyst doesn’t think Starbucks (SBUX) shareholders have much to worry about from the rise of the Chinese coffee chain that went public in the U.S. in May.

“Daily active users for the Starbucks mobile app have held steady through May as has user engagement, which are two data points that give us confidence,” Jefferies analyst Andy Barish said.
